  • Laid out deliberately as Belgrade's "Montmartre" from the early 1900s, when artists and writers gathered here; the name comes from Skadar (Shkodër), after refugees from that region settled the street.
  • The daytime street is mostly closed shopfronts and a handful of open cafés; the character comes alive with the evening crowd and music.
