Questions and answers

answered by Voykit editors · dated
Can I bring food?

Yes on the outdoor lawns; not inside the domes. Satay by the Bay has hawker-style stalls in the gardens.

Checked 2026-09-28 · Voykit desk

Do I need to book the domes?

Not usually, but dated online tickets are slightly cheaper and skip the counter; weekends in school holidays can sell out at peak hours.

Checked 2026-09-28 · Voykit desk

Is Gardens by the Bay free?

The outdoor gardens, Supertree Grove and the light show are free. The two conservatory domes, the OCBC Skyway, the Supertree Observatory and Floral Fantasy are ticketed.

What time is the Supertree light show?

Garden Rhapsody usually runs at 19:45 and 20:45 every evening for about 15 minutes (check); storms cancel it.

Which dome is better if I only do one?

The Cloud Forest: the waterfall, the mist and the high walkways make it the more memorable of the two.

How long do I need?

90 minutes for the outdoor gardens and the grove; 2–3 hours with both domes.

How do I get there?

MRT to Bayfront, exit B, then the underground link and Dragonfly Bridge, about 10 minutes on foot. From Marina Bay Sands, cross the Lions Bridge.

Is it worth going in the rain?

Yes: the domes are indoor and air-conditioned. The outdoor gardens, Skyway and light show close in heavy storms and lightning.
