Radium Hot Springs is a village of about 800 people at the junction of Highways 93 and 95, at the west gate of Kootenay National Park. People come for the hot pools, the canyon drive and a bed between Calgary and the Rockies. Two nights is plenty; most travellers use it as a stop, not a base.
