Provo
Provo is a car-and-beach island, not a walking city: sleep near Grace Bay, do the water before 11:00, and book the car and the boat day before you fly.
Providenciales is flat and spread out along one long road. The beach and its shops are walkable only in one short stretch; the reefs, the marina and the conch shacks are separate short drives. Trips go wrong when hurricane season, a rental car that is not booked, or a late flight with no transfer is met with no plan. Four clusters cover a first visit, with the boat day to North and Middle Caicos as the one long trip.
