Prostějov
Half a day for the art-nouveau National House and Old Town Hall museum, then move on to Olomouc (15 min by train). Not a base.
Prostějov is a compact Moravian city with a strong architectural streak: art-nouveau, historicist and functionalist buildings from its 19th–20th century textile boom. The main draws — the National House, the New City Hall and the Old Town Hall museum — are within a 10-minute walk of each other. Most travellers use it as a lunch stop between Olomouc and Brno or as a short side trip from Olomouc.
