The honest verdict

Pristina is a small, young, café-heavy capital where the sights are a few streets apart and the main risks are the airport transfer, winter air pollution and construction dust, not distance. There are no big timed tickets. A first visit is one morning on foot and one evening in the cafés; Prizren and Gračanica are trips away from one kept bed. Sights change hours without notice, so treat every opening time here as unconfirmed.

Three mistakes to avoid

Paying: The euro is used. Cards work in hotels, malls and many restaurants; buses, bakeries, small cafés and taxis are cash. Carry small notes.
Cash: Keep €30–50 (≈ US$35–60) in small notes for buses, bakeries and taxis; withdraw at bank ATMs inside banks or malls, not on quiet streets.
