Port St. Joe is a small bay town on Florida's Forgotten Coast, between Panama City and Apalachicola. It is not a resort strip: the draw is St. Joseph Bay, the beaches of Cape San Blas, a state park with a lighthouse, and a compact historic downtown on Reid Avenue. Two nights covers it; three if you fish or kayak. You need a car or a golf cart, because sights sit 8–15 miles apart along US 98 and Cape San Blas Road.

Get around
A car is the default: US 98 runs through town and Cape San Blas Road runs south to the cape and state park. Golf carts are common in town and on the cape for short errands — check local rules on where they may be driven. Fuel up in Port St. Joe or Port St. Joe Beach; services thin out toward the cape.
