Porompat is a 30-minute detour from Imphal: half a day for the temples and art gallery, then back to Imphal for the night.
Porompat is a small town on the eastern edge of the Imphal Valley, known for its Sanamahi temples and a local art gallery. Most travellers pass through on the way to Kakching or Thoubal. Half a day covers the main sights; there is no reason to stay overnight.
