Get around

The centre is small and walkable: castle, museum, Market Place and bus station are within about 10 minutes on foot. Three unstaffed stations (Monkhill, Tanshelf, Baghill) serve different lines. Buses 140/141 link Leeds and Xscape; 148/149 link Wakefield. Taxis wait by the bus station.
