Pollina
Skip Pollina unless you are a food historian or want a quiet hill walk: half a day is enough, and the manna museum is the only reason to go.
Pollina is a tiny hill village in the Madonie range, known mainly for the production of manna — a sweet sap with traditional medicinal uses. The main sights are the castle ruins, a small amphitheatre, and a museum dedicated to manna. Most travellers pass through on a day trip from Cefalù or Palermo, but the village itself is quiet and the roads are steep.
