Pikesville

Skip Pikesville as a sightseeing base: it is a suburban food and shopping stop 25 min from downtown Baltimore. Worth one meal if you keep kosher.

Pikesville is a Baltimore County suburb on the I-695 beltway, not a tourist town. Get around

A car is the practical choice: the beltway exits at Reisterstown Road, Park Heights Avenue and Greenspring Avenue put the whole suburb within minutes. Without a car, the Metro Subway stops at Milford Mill and Old Court, then buses 53 and 59 run along Reisterstown Road. Buy an all-day pass — MTA transfers are not free.
