Pensacola is a small historic city on a deep bay, not a resort strip: downtown has the museums and bars, and the beach is a 20-minute drive across two bridges. Two nights covers both. Come Mar–May or Oct–Nov for mild weather; summer is hot, wet and inside hurricane season.
