Payathonzu
Payathonzu is a border stop, not a destination: half a day for the monasteries and the Burma Railway bridge, then cross into Thailand or head back to Hpa-an.
Payathonzu sits on the Myanmar–Thailand border at the Three Pagodas Pass, a quiet town on the historic Burma Railway. Its two notable monasteries — Suwannagiri and Taung Waing — and the railway bridge can be seen in a few hours.
