Chilean Patagonia is two regions, not one: Aysén in the north (Carretera Austral, fjords, Queulat) and Magallanes in the south (Torres del Paine, Punta Arenas, Puerto Williams). They are 1,000 km and a flight apart. With 4–5 days, fly to Puerto Natales and do Torres del Paine. With 10+ days, add the Carretera Austral or a Punta Arenas and Tierra del Fuego leg. Distances are long, roads are often gravel, and the weather turns fast.
