Panshet
Panshet is a half-day trip from Pune for the dam and lake views, not a destination on its own. Go as a picnic or a short camping stop.
Panshet, 50 km southwest of Pune, is a small town built around the Panshet Dam. The main draw is the reservoir and the surrounding hills, best for a quick escape from Pune's heat. Most visitors come for a few hours of boating or a night of lakeside camping. There is no significant town centre or sightseeing beyond the dam.
