Pacsa
Skip Pacsa as a base: no beds, no local transport. Come only as a half-day loop of village churches, or sleep in Zalaegerszeg or Egervár.
Pacsa is a village of about 1,700 people in Zala County, first recorded in 1256 and given town status in 2009. There is no hotel and no local bus or taxi, so it works as a short stop on a Zala County drive, not as somewhere to stay. The draw is the surrounding countryside: small Baroque churches, a Renaissance castle at Egervár and the Deák birthplace at Söjtör.
