Get around
A car is the practical choice: US-101 runs through the city and Highway 1 (Pacific Coast Highway) is slower but coastal. Gold Coast Transit buses cover Oxnard, Port Hueneme and Ventura but run infrequently. Amtrak (Pacific Surfliner, Coast Starlight) and Metrolink stop at the Oxnard Transit Center, 201 East Fourth Street.
