Otsuchi
大槌町
Spend a half‑day in Otsuchi for beach walk, surf and spa; one night only if you stay in nearby Kamaishi.
Otsuchi is a small coastal town in Iwate, rebuilt after the 2011 tsunami. Its main draws are Namiita Beach (surf), Kiri Kiri Beach, Shiroyama Park and a local spa. No hotels exist in town, so most visitors base themselves in Kamaishi (30 min by bus) and make a day trip.
