Onjuku
御宿
Spend a half day on the beach; add an overnight if you want surf lessons or explore the statues.
Onjuku is a small fishing town on Chiba's Pacific coast, reachable from Tokyo in about 80 min by limited‑express train. Its main draw is the beach, surf spots and two coastal monuments. A few hours cover the beach and a quick visit to the statues; an extra night lets you surf or stay in a local inn.
