Get around
In Zambujeira do Mar you walk everywhere. For the other beaches and rural houses you need a car, or a taxi from the rank at the end of the main street by the beach. Intercity buses (Rede Expressos, Rodoviária do Tejo) link Odemira town with Lisbon, Setúbal, Sines and São Teotónio; the nearest mainline station is Santa Clara-Saboia, inland.

- Many rural restaurants and guesthouses close or cut hours from November to February: check before booking.
- Cliff edges are unfenced and crumble; keep back from the lip.
