Get around
The island is small: walk or rent a bike or surrey. Bikes and surreys are allowed on the boardwalk from 5AM to noon only. A car helps for groceries and day trips, but summer parking near the beach runs up to about $20/day in municipal lots and $1.50/hour at beach-side meters (early May–early October).
