Nymburk
Half-day stop between Prague and Kutná Hora: see the brick Gothic walls and church, then move on. Not worth a dedicated trip.
Nymburk is a small royal town founded in the 13th century on the Elbe River, about 50 km east of Prague. Its main draw is a well-preserved brick Gothic fortification and St. Giles Church, rare in the Czech lands. The centre is a protected urban monument zone but compact: you can see the key sights in 2–3 hours. Most travellers use it as a lunch stop on the Prague–Kutná Hora route or skip it entirely.
