Nybro
One night in Nybro itself, or use it as a 25-min bus hop to the Orrefors glassworks; the town alone does not fill a day.
Nybro is a small Småland town on the Gothenburg–Kalmar railway, known as the gateway to Glasriket, the glass-making district. The town centre is compact and quiet; the reason to stop is Orrefors, 16 km north-east, where you can watch glassblowers and buy glassware. Most travellers pass through on the train between Kalmar and Växjö, or stop one night to reach the glassworks without a car.
