North Coast-Nechako is a transit region, not a single destination: it runs from the Rockies to the Pacific and the Alaska Panhandle, and the towns sit 1.5–5 hours apart on Highway 16. Pick one or two bases and accept the driving. Prince George is the road and rail hub; Smithers is the mountain town in the middle; Prince Rupert is the coast end with ferries and a cannery; Terrace is the fishing and canyon base; Stewart is a long northern spur with a glacier. Everything else is wilderness, totem poles and small towns between them.
