North Canton
One night, two at most: use North Canton as a cheap bed next to CAK airport and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, not as a sightseeing base.
North Canton is a small Stark County city of about 17,000 people, 10 minutes from Akron-Canton Regional Airport (CAK) and 15 minutes from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. It was the Hoover vacuum company town, and the Hoover Historical Center on the Walsh University campus is the one sight that is genuinely about this place. Almost everything else — the mall, the chain restaurants, the hotels — sits in Jackson Township on the I-77 exit. Come for a night before an early flight, a football weekend, or as a cheaper base for Canton and Akron.

Get around
A car is the practical answer: hotels, the mall and the airport are spread along I-77 and Cleveland Ave, and sidewalks between them are patchy. SARTA runs county buses with hourly frequencies on main routes and a route to CAK; buy fares in advance at a transfer center. Rideshares exist but can be thin late at night.
