Nippani
Skip Nippani unless you are a tobacco-industry professional or passing through on the Belgaum–Hubli bus route. A half-day covers the main temples and the lake; no need to stay overnight.
Nippani is a small city in northwestern Karnataka, known primarily for tobacco farming and bidi-making. It has a handful of temples and a lake, but no major sights that justify a detour. Most travellers pass through on the bus between Belgaum and Hubli, and that is the best way to see it.
