New Providence is one island with one road spine: Nassau and Paradise Island at the east end, the airport at the west, Cable Beach and Lyford Cay in between. It is 21 miles (34 km) long and 7 miles (11 km) wide, so nothing is far. Sleep in Nassau for history, food and walkability; Cable Beach for resort sand; Lyford Cay for privacy and a car. Treat the Out Islands as a separate flight, not a day trip.
