New Lebanon is a small Columbia County town on the Massachusetts line, 30 min from Pittsfield and about 40 min from Albany. Its one real draw is Mount Lebanon Shaker Village, the former national headquarters of the Shakers, now a museum and historic site. Everything else is a handful of historic houses, a speedway, a theatre and roadside food along US Route 20. Come for one night or pass through on a US-20 drive; two nights only if you add Hancock Shaker Village or the Berkshires.
