Get around
A car is the practical default: downtown streets are walkable, but the airport, the interstate hotels and the surrounding county are not. Downtown is laid out on east–west streets (Main, Market, Spring, Elm, Oak) crossed by north–south streets (State, Pearl, Bank, Third and up). I-64 serves downtown at Spring Street; I-265 runs along the north side with exits at State Street, Grant Line Road and Charlestown Road. Louisville is a short drive across the river.
