Nazareth is the largest Arab city in Israel proper and the base for the Christian sites of the Lower Galilee. The Basilica of the Annunciation, Mary's Well and the market lanes of the Old City are all within walking distance of each other, so one night covers the core. Two nights if you add Mount Tabor, the Jesus Trail or a day in the Galilee.

Get around
The Old City is walkable end to end in about 20 minutes; expect steep lanes and stone steps. Buses 331 from Haifa and 955 from Jerusalem stop on the main street near the Basilica. Driving inside the Old City is tight and parking is haphazard; park at the city entrance and walk in.
