Naya Raipur (also called Atal Nagar or Nava Raipur) is the planned capital of Chhattisgarh, built from scratch near Raipur. Its wide boulevards and green spaces hold a few distinct attractions — a jungle safari, a massive cricket stadium and a modern mall — but most travellers pass through in a few hours. The city works best as a lunch-and-safari stop on the Raipur–Nagpur highway.
