Narok
Use Narok as a 1-night stop before the Masai Mara: it's the last town with ATMs, supermarkets and budget beds. You don't need more than a half-day here.
Narok is the last sizable town on the road to the Masai Mara, about 143 km from Nairobi and 126 km from Naivasha. It has a small museum, a few guesthouses and supermarkets for restocking. Most travellers pass through for a night or a meal; the Mara is the real destination.
