Get around
A car is the practical choice: the 401 (exits 579 and 582) and Highway 41 do the heavy lifting, and the Loyalist Parkway (33) runs west to the Glenora ferry. VIA Rail stops at the unmanned 1856 station on John Street, but the station is a shelter with no car hire. Two local taxis cover short hops; the downtown core itself is walkable in 15–20 min.
