Naousa, Imathia
Νάουσα
Half a day for the clock tower, springs and wine museum; one night if you ski at Seli or Pigadia. Not a base for Macedonia.
Naousa is a small city on the eastern foothills of Mount Vermio, known for its red wine (xinomavro), peach orchards, a 25 m clock tower and the Arapitsa springs at Agios Nikolaos. It has two ski resorts (Seli and Pigadia) within 20 km. Most travellers use it as a lunch stop between Veria and Edessa or a winter weekend destination.
