Get around
Matatus run the main road (Moi South Lake Rd) to Kongoni (≈1 h, Ksh 100) and to Hell's Gate (stop en‑route). Hire bikes at Hell's Gate for self‑guided rides. The old metre‑gauge railway has a station in town; three weekly services connect to Nairobi and Kisumu (check schedule).
