Nafada

Skip Nafada unless you are passing through Gombe State for the Gongola River or a quiet stopover: half a day is enough for the river view, then move on.

Nafada is a small town in Gombe State, North East Nigeria, best known for the Gongola River that runs past it. There is one lodge and no major sights beyond the riverbank. Most travellers use it as a short stop between Gombe and Bajoga or as a base for river fishing and picnics. One night is the maximum most visitors need.
