Muurame
Skip Muurame as a standalone destination. Use it as a half-day side trip from Jyväskylä for the zoo or the nature trail, or as a stop on the E63 between Tampere and Jyväskylä.
Muurame is a small municipality 20 km south of Jyväskylä with a petting zoo, a short riverside nature trail and a downhill ski hill. It has no major sights that justify an overnight stay unless you are visiting family or attending the Naamat festival in July. Most travellers will see it from the bus or car window.
