Get around
A car is required. US 64/19/74 is a four-lane road through town and the numbers change but the road does not, so Chattanooga to Asheville runs without turns. Fuel up in town; services thin out toward Andrews and the gorge. Winter snow can close or slow mountain roads for a few hours to a day.
