M'Rirt
مريرت
Skip M'Rirt unless you need a quick fuel or lunch stop on the N8 between Fez and Marrakech; the Thursday souk is the only reason to detour.
M'Rirt is a small mining and farming town in the Middle Atlas, 1,100 m up on the N8 road between Fez and Marrakech. It has no major historical or cultural attractions beyond a lively Thursday souk. Most travellers pass through in under an hour; a half-day covers the market and a walk around the hillside.
