Visit Moxi for a day to see Hailuogou Glacier (30 km away); travel ~2 h each way, entry ¥85 plus ¥60 bus ticket.
Moxi is a small village in Ganzi, Sichuan, mainly a gateway to Hailuogou Glacier Park. The glacier is 30 km from town; reaching it requires a bus ticket. A day trip covers travel, park entry and a short hike, so one full day is sufficient. Overnight stays are not typical.

Moxi is walkable: the park gate is in the village. Inside Hailuogou the only practical way up is the park shuttle bus (¥60 return) to the glacier area, then the cable car or the walkway. - Winter snow and summer rain can close the road, the cable car or the walkway: ask at your guesthouse before buying tickets.
- Altitude: the village sits around 1,600 m and the glacier area is far higher; take the first day easy.
Moxi is a small Tibetan-Han village on a high valley floor (about 1,600 m); the real risks are altitude on the way up, sudden road closures on the Luding road in summer rain and winter snow, and cold nights year-round. Carry cash: ATMs are scarce and cards are not always accepted.
