Morrungulo
One or two nights to unwind on a quiet beach between Inhambane and Vilankulos. Not a base for sightseeing.
Morrungulo (also called Nelson's Bay) is a family-run beach resort 13 km east of the EN1 highway, 7 km north of Massinga. It offers clean white sand, swimming, fishing and scuba diving. The town has no real centre: the resort is the destination. Most travellers stop for one or two nights on the drive between Inhambane and Vilankulos.

Morrungulo is a safe, family-run resort. The main risks are the dirt road after rain and the lack of services outside the resort. Carry cash (meticais or rand) and fill up fuel in Massinga.
