Skip as a base. Sleep here only for an early MTY flight or a Rayados match; otherwise stay in Monterrey Centro or Fundidora, 20–40 min away.
The eastern suburbs — Guadalupe, San Nicolás de los Garza, Apodaca and Escobedo — are Monterrey's industrial belt: factories, warehouses and working-class housing, with MTY airport in Apodaca. There is little for a visitor beyond a stadium, a zoo-park and a handful of regional restaurants. Treat the area as a functional stop, not a destination.
