Miyako, Iwate
Spend a half‑day at Jōdogahama beach; add one night if you want a relaxed stay or to catch the evening bus back to Morioka.
Miyako is a small coastal city in Iwate with the main draw being Jōdogahama beach and nearby hiking trails. Train service from Morioka is infrequent, so a short stay (half‑day to a full day) works best. Overnight accommodation lets you avoid the last‑bus cutoff and enjoy local eateries.
