Miyaki
みやき町
Skip Miyaki unless you have a specific reason to visit the shrine or park: it is a quiet town with one notable shrine and a park, best as a short stop on a Saga road trip.
Miyaki is a small agricultural town in eastern Saga Prefecture, 20 km east of Saga City and 30 km south of Fukuoka. Its main draw is the 1,300-year-old Chiriku Hachiman Shrine; the rest is rural scenery. Most travellers pass through on the Nagasaki Main Line or by car. A half-hour stop is enough.
