Mitaka
Spend a half‑day at the Ghibli Museum and Inokashira Park; one day is enough, stay elsewhere in Tokyo.
Mitaka is a western Tokyo suburb best known for the Ghibli Museum, which dominates visitor flow, and the adjacent Inokashira Park. The museum requires a reservation and a short bus ride from Mitaka Station. A single day covers the museum, a park stroll and a quick bite, making an overnight stay unnecessary unless you prefer a Tokyo base. Trains run frequently on the JR Chūō Line, linking directly to Shinjuku, Tokyo and other hubs.
