Miracatu
Skip Miracatu unless you have a car and want to see big waterfalls in the Atlantic Forest: a half-day stop on the BR-116 between São Paulo and Iguape.
Miracatu is a small town on the BR-116 highway in the Ribeira Valley, 160 km southwest of São Paulo. Its main draw is the Mutuca Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in São Paulo state at 273 m, plus several other cascades and rapids. There is no public transport to the falls, so you need a car. Most travellers pass through on the way to Iguape or Cananéia.
