Medak
Half a day is enough: see the cathedral and the fort, then move on to Hyderabad or Siddipet. Not a base.
Medak is a small town in West Telangana, known for the Medak Cathedral (one of the largest churches in India) and a hill fort. Most travellers stop here on the way between Hyderabad and Nizamabad or Adilabad. The cathedral is the main draw; the fort is a short climb. Two hours covers both.
