Mdumbi
Go for 2–3 nights if you want a quiet, uncrowded Wild Coast beach with good surf and no commercial development. Skip if you need nightlife, ATMs or sealed roads.
Mdumbi is a remote Wild Coast village 24 km north of Coffee Bay. The beach is a sweeping bay lined with Milkwood trees and Xhosa huts. Surfing is excellent and uncrowded. Accommodation is off-grid and eco-minded. There are no shops, ATMs or sealed roads: bring cash, food and drinking water.
