McClellan Park
Skip unless you are a military aviation enthusiast: the Air Museum is the only draw and takes 1–2 hours. Otherwise use it as a budget sleep base for Sacramento.
McClellan Park is a former Air Force base turned business park, 10 minutes north of Sacramento. It has one major sight – the Air Museum – and a handful of hotels and eateries. Most travellers pass through on the way to Sacramento or stay overnight for a cheaper bed than downtown.
