Mayne Island is a 21 km² Southern Gulf Island with about 1,100 residents, reached by BC Ferries through Active Pass. Get around
No public bus. Bring your own bicycle: the nearest rental is a long way from the ferry terminal. Roads are narrow and hilly with blind curves, so ride single file. Walking works for fit travellers: ferry terminal to Miners Bay is about 45 min. A car is the easy option, and it must be booked on the ferry.
